The watch is in perfect working order following a recent service, it comes presented on the original Breitling bracelet with fold over deployant clasp . The watch is part of a full set with all original papers dated 1997 and with Bakelite box and outer card box. The lume on the dial numerals has developed a beautiful pumpkin coloured patina. The watch is in very good all round condition with only very minor signs of use on the case & clasp under magnification.

The Breitling Navitimer is arguably the brands most iconic watch and the Old Navitimer is a nod to the aviation timepieces of the 1950’s that helped cement their reputation as a leading name in pilots watches. It was conceived as a flight computer for the wrist and when used in conjunction with the slide rule bezel it could be used to make all the necessary calculations a pilot may need to make. Breitling released the Old Navitimer in the 1990’s with these original watches as inspiration.

As well as being a functional tool watch the design is such that it makes a stylish & eye catching piece on the wrist. This particular watch has a volcano black dial, contrasting sub dials , date aperture and Roman numerals which make it very legible. At 40.3mm case diameter and 14mm thickness the watch is very wearable daily for most wrists. The watch is powered by the caliber Breitling 13 Automatic movement which is based on the Valjoux 7750 and has a power reserve of 42hrs.
